A Range Extender takes a weak signal, enhances/amplifies it and then re-transmits it over an area ranging from 200 m² to 50 000 m² depending on the device.
Multiple modems and cellphones can be used wirelessly and simultaneously
It is used in situations where the signal is weak inside buildings or where the outside signal is weak and needs to be enhanced and then re-transmitted (extended) to the interior of the building eg. offices or dwellings or over large outside areas.
A normal Range Extender kit consists out of an outside Antenna (this can be a Directional antenna or an Omni -Directional Antenna), a signal booster (electrically amplified) and a re-transmitting antenna.
The re-transmitting antenna is the attached to the ceiling or another convenient spot within the building for the best coverage.
Multiple splitters are available for multiple re-transmitting antennas within a building.
Various models are available which have different coverage areas and cover different frequencies.
Special Kits are available for situations where the signal area is a distance from the house, building or coverage area eg. 100 metres, 500 metres, 1 km
There is a standard manufacturer's warranty of 1 year on all products except
for power surges and lightning
